Liebster Award 2020

Liebster Award

I’m surprised and excited to share some good news with my JustTeri friends. I am humbled to have been nominated for the Liebster Award which is a recognition of bloggers by other bloggers by Janet Vinci of Endless Rivers blog. I am consistently inspired by  how she creatively presents an honest and brave approach to living life authentically. Her blog, to me, is a work of art. I am grateful for her support and encouragement!

  • Thank the blogger who nominated you, and provide a link to their blog.
  • Answer the 11 questions given to you.
  • Share 11 facts about yourself.
  • Nominate 5-11 other bloggers.
  • Ask your nominees 11 questions.
  • Notify your nominees once you have uploaded your post

Questions I was asked by Janet:

1. What is your greatest life lesson so far?  People do the best they know how with what they’ve got at the time. This helps me to be more accepting and patient of others and show forgiveness to others and myself when required.

2. What’s your favorite Car Karaoke song to sing? Just Like Fire – by P!nk     I love this woman. Strong. Fearless. Fierce. Confident. Honest.

3. Name one habit you would like to quit, and one you would like to start? I’d like to do more clean eating – at the very least the majority of my food in it’s natural package. Procrastinating! BLAH – my biggest nemesis

4. What has been your greatest challenge in the past month? Staying present moment. It’s easy to worry about my future with the health – mental, physical & emotional, and economic global impact of covid19. I’m happy to say I remain optimistic and grateful for all that I have now. I’ll take the unknown as it comes.

5. Share one thing you’ve never shared before about yourself. I have a photographic memory which can make me lazy  😉

6. What are you most afraid of? Not living each day to the best of my ability. So, this spurs me to try my best every day.

7. Have you ever been mistaken for someone else? When I was younger I reminded people of Courtney-Thorne Smith from Melrose Place but of course Heather Locklear would’ve been more of a “Wow and truly impossible” – haha

8. What’s missing in your life? Better organizational skills

9. What is the number ONE thing on your bucket list? Explore more of this amazing, beautiful world and the people in it.

10. Would you rather camp or do a five star hotel? I’d like an AirBnb in the middle of town so I could get an authentic experience of the people and the culture.

11. Are you an introvert or an extrovert? I’m an unusual  paradox. I’m very friendly and social when in social situations but I’m beyond happy and prefer, when given the opportunity, to stay home with my family. 😊

11 Facts About Me

  1. Being a mother has been my greatest calling, hands down, among all the amazing accomplishments I’ve had in my life. My children are great people and I can’t wait to see what they do with their life.
  2. I can be overly excited when talking to friends, inspired or touched by their comments that I chime in, not meaning to interrupt or stall their story. Of course, I apologize but they laugh and say they enjoy my enthusiasm. I have better self-control with lesser acquaintances who may not find it endearing. 😊
  3. I am a Mid-Western girl who was raised to love the outdoors and appreciate a small-town community.
  4. I am third generation to play Polo in my family. (Horseback, not water polo)
  5. I have a fear of sharks and will make myself seasick looking for them when on a raft, surfboard or boat.
  6. I enjoy playing the piano and get mad at myself for not playing more.
  7. I don’t FaceBook.
  8. The fall-out of politics and its impact on society terrifies me.
  9. I don’t watch TV much but do enjoy a good series when one captures my attention.
  10. I enjoy the game Head Bands and I’m the undisputed Queen of Head Bands in my home! 😉
  11. I consistently feel amazed and in awe at the power and magic of nature especially when I’m in it. It reminds me life is good!
